PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Ciara Wall broke a scoreless tie in the second period and Sara Krauseneck added an insurance power play goal in the third as Plattsburgh blanked Cortland 2-0 to capture its fifth straight Northeast Women's Hockey League title.

The contest was held in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on Saturday, March 4.

Ashley Davis repelled all 16 shots she faced to earn the shutout victory and improve her record to 7-0-0 on the season.

The Cardinals now advance to the NCAA Division III Women's Hockey Championship Tournament after claiming the automatic berth that comes with the NEWHL crown.
