CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Cortland women's ice hockey team scored the final three goals of the game in earning a 3-1 victory versus Morrisville Tuesday night in NEWHL action at Alumni Arena. The Red Dragons improved to 6-3 overall and 4-2 in the conference. The Mustangs dropped to 2-9-1 and 0-6.

Graduate student Grace Schnorr (Camillus/Little Caesars) led Cortland with two goals, and freshman Fanny Aneborn (Linkoping, Sweden/Lulea HF Sweden) netted a goal. Freshman Ainsley Delacourt (Stoney Creek, ON/Brampton Canadettes) registered three assists, senior Dany Donegan (Cicero/Syracuse Nationals) picked up two assists and junior Jillian Hlasnick (Olean/Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles) added an assist. Sophomore goalie Molly Goergen (Eden Prairie, MN/Eden Prairie H.S.) turned aside 24 shots.

Junior Rhys Brown (Kemptville, ON/Nepean Wildcats) scored Morrisville's goal with sophomore Allie Davidson (Niagara Falls, ON/Brock Sr. Badgers) collecting an assist. Freshman goalie Maggie Jones (Marystown, NL/Mount Academy) registered 31 saves.

Brown gave the Mustangs the lead at 17:54 of the opening period with a shot from the slot for her third goal of the season. Schnorr tied the game at 8:51 of the second period on a goal right in front off a loose puck.

Cortland took the lead 3:20 into the second period on Schnorr's second goal of the game and fourth of the season. Delacourt sent a pass up the left boards to Donegan from Cortland's defensive zone. Donegan passed the puck to Schnorr who beat Jones with a wrist shot from the left circle. Aneborn netted an insurance goal, her team-high fifth of the season, on the power play at the 7:13 mark. After Delacourt sent the puck toward the front of the goal, Aneborn quickly scored on a short shot in front for the 3-1 final.
