HOW IT HAPPENED

• Freshman Ashten Morris opened the scoring for the Roos just 36 seconds into the first frame, burying a pass from freshman Alexia Labre and giving SUNY Canton a 1-0 lead. The goal was also assisted by freshman Sydney Valliquette.
• Laitinen doubled the Roos lead, snapping a wrist shot into the net.  Assisting on the goal were freshman Kyra O'Keefe and Valliquette.
• Second period goals were scored by freshman Danika Lalonde, sophomore Halle McKinnon, junior Hannah Clement and Laitinen.
• The Roos closed out the third period with goals from junior Desiree Snook and freshman Jayme Mcllveen.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Morris, Lalonde and Mcllveen all scored their first collegiate goals while Valliquette earned her first collegiate point.
• Laitinen, McKinnon, Labre, Pancoe and Valliquette all had a multi-point night.
• Freshman goaltender Claire Noftell earned her first collegiate victory with the shutout while Hilbert's Tia Card took the loss despite making 67 saves.
