BUFFALO, N.Y. – Graduate student Grace Schnorr (Camillus/Little Caesars) recorded a hat trick and added an assist to lead the Cortland women's ice hockey team to a 6-2 win at Buffalo St. Saturday afternoon in NEWHL action. The Red Dragons improved to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in the league. The Bengals fell to 0-5 and 0-3.

Sophomore Jillian Hlasnick (Olean/Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles) tallied three points on a goal and two assists, freshman Nat O'Brien (Lockport/Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles) netted a goal and freshman Destiny Bautista (Quesnel, BC/Okanagan Hockey Academy) scored her first career goal. Seniors Amanda Gaffney (Williamsville/Amherst Knights) and Katie DeVoe (Mississauga, ON/Vaughan Vipers) and sophomore Kait Bourgeois (Cobden, ON/Ottawa Thunder) each recorded two assists, while three others contributed one assist. Freshman goalie Molly Goergen (Eden Prairie, MN/Eden Prairie H.S.) made 13 saves.

Angelina Cruzel and Tori Fadeley scored the goals for the Bengals. Bethany Horvatits and Rylee Garrow each had an assist. Goalie Jessica Auge turned aside 53 shots.
