• The Roos outshot the Monarchs 10-1 in the opening period but the teams skated to first intermission with a scoreless tie.
• SUNY Canton's dominance finally paid off at the 8:38 mark of the middle period when Snook lit the lamp on the power play off passes from Micayla MacIntyre and Meaghan Best.
• The sophomore from Paradise, Newfoundland struck again just over two minutes later, this one coming at even strength. Sarah Kosnaskie picked up a helper on the play as the Roos took the 2-0 lead after 40 minutes.
• Assistant captain Verity Lewis made it 3-0 at 15:59 of the third period off a setup from Halle McKinnon.
• Sandrene Garofalo concluded the scoring with 40 seconds remaining as Makayla Young and Hannah Clement were credited with assists on the tally.
