Eight minutes later, the Herons got on the board again with their third goal of the day when senior Kiley Fewster (Fort Meyers, FL/Northfield Mount Hermon) forced a Cortland turnover and sent a high shot past Farmer for her 11th goal of the season.

The Red Dragons scored their lone goal of the game with 6:11 remaining in the third period when Calamari collected a loose puck in front of the net and sent it past Salmon to make it a 3-1 game. The goal was scored on a two-player advantage for Cortland, and set up by a shot on goal from Kolb, which was pushed away by Salmon. Cortland pulled Farmer with 35 seconds remaining but was unable to score any further goals.
