Plattsburgh stays at No. 2 in DCU/USCHO.com Division III Top-15 Poll

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey team held on to the No. 2 spot in this week's DCU/USCHO.com Division III Top-15 poll with 278 voting points and received three first-place votes, as announced on Monday.

Plattsburgh State extended its winning streak to 17 this past weekend, defeating SUNY Cortland, 2-0, in the Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) Tournament championship game on Saturday. It marked the Cardinals' fifth straight NEWHL title and their 10th consecutive conference championship overall dating back to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) West.

The Cardinals (25-2-0, 17-1-0 NEWHL) next host either No. 7 Middlebury College or Suffolk University in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Saturday, March 11, at 3 p.m.

The DCU/USCHO.com Division III Women's Ice Hockey Poll is compiled weekly and consists of 15 voters, including coaches and media professionals from across the country.
