2022-23 NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Tournament Bracket

INDIANAPOLIS 
– The No. 2 Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey team will host either No. 8 Middlebury College or Suffolk University in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Saturday, March 11, at 3 p.m. at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena, as announced via the NCAA's selection show on Sunday evening.
 
Plattsburgh State (25-2-0), ranked at No. 2 in the PairWise rankings that are used to select and seed the NCAA Tournament, earned the automatic bid out of the Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL). Middlebury (16-7-3) earned one of the tournament's three Pool "C" at-large selections into the field and is the defending NCAA Division III champion. Suffolk (18-7-2) earned the automatic bid out of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC).
 
The Cardinals are 24-11-4 all-time against Middlebury, while Plattsburgh State and Suffolk have never faced each other.
 
Plattsburgh State is making its 11th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and has won 10 straight conference titles as well.
 
The winner of Saturday's game will face either No. 1 Gustavus Adolphus College or the No. 3 University of Wisconsin-River Falls in the semifinal round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, March 17.
