SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Plattsburgh freshman forward Emma McLean (Burlington, MA) has been selected the Northeast Women's Hockey League's Rookie of the Week.

The honor is for games contested from Monday, Feb. 13, through Sunday, Feb. 19, and was announced by the NEWHL on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

McLean tallied two assists and fashioned a +3 rating in a weekend sweep of Buffalo State. She offered two assists and had a +2 rating in a 5-0 win over Buffalo State on Friday, Feb. 17, before owning a +1 rating in an 8-0 victory over the Bengals on Saturday, Feb. 18.

For the season, McLean has five points on a goal and four assists.
