Plattsburgh’s Sara Krauseneck earns NEWHL Player of the Week honor

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Plattsburgh senior forward Sara Krauseneck (Saginaw, MI) has been selected the final Northeast Women's Hockey League Player of the Week for the 2022-23 season.

The honor is for games contested from Monday, Feb. 13, through Sunday, Feb. 19, and was announced by the NEWHL on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Krauseneck registered five points on two goals and three assists over the weekend to extend her point streak to eight straight games.

She scored a goal and added an assist while fashioning a +2 rating in a 5-0 win over Buffalo State on Friday, Feb. 17, before notching three points on a goal and two assists while recording a +3 rating in an 8-0 victory over the Bengals on Saturday, Feb. 18. 

For the season, Krauseneck ranks second in the NEWHL in both points (36) and goals (17).
