Roos Honor Alvarez, Finnish Mustangs in Finale (Canton Story)

BOX SCORE

Potsdam, NY – Senior Sirena Alvarez has had many busy nights this season as the primary goaltender for the SUNY Canton women's hockey team.  The team's regular season finale was not one of them.  While Alvarez, who hails from Finland, only faced 12 shots on the night, she stopped them all earning her 13th shutout of her career placing her first all-time for the program.   The Roos earned a 2-0 victory over visiting SUNY Morrisville in a Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) matchup.

The Roos honored Alvarez as the team's lone senior in a post-game ceremony.
