ASTON, PA – Junior goalie Chelsea Allain (Malta/Canterbury School) turned aside 14 shots to record her seventh career shutout to extend the program record as the Cortland women's ice hockey team skated past Neumann University, 4-0, in non-conference action Friday night. The Red Dragons improved to 8-3-1, while the Knights dropped to 7-6.

Sophomore Lindsay Reyes (Chino Hills, CA/Anaheim Lady Ducks) and freshman Dany Donegan (Cicero/Syracuse Nationals) each recorded a goal and an assist for Cortland. Junior Grace Schnorr (Camillus/Little Caesars) and sophomore Teryn Field (Cicero/Lysander Lightning) also netted goals for the Red Dragons. Sophomore Amanda Gaffney (Williamsville/Amherst Knight) and freshmen Molly McCabe (Webster/Webster Thomas H.S.) and Martha Dzieniszewska (Old Bridge, NJ/New Jersey Colonials) picked up one assist apiece.

Helen Cooney started in goal for the Knghts, making 36 saves through the first two periods. Michelle Winand-Bacon stopped all 18 shots she faced in the third period.

Schnorr netted the game-winner with 1:29 left in the opening period before the Red Dragons added three goals in the second period. Field scored at 7:57, Reyes tallied her goal at 14:15, and Donegan completed the scoring at the 18:26 mark.
