Gaffney's hat-trick, Schnorr's 2 assists pace Cortland by Lebanon Valley

HERSHEY, PA. – Sophomore Amanda Gaffney (Williamsville/Amherst Knights) recorded her first career hat trick and sophomore goalie Emily Steen (Windom, MN/Windom H.S.) earned her first career win and shutout in her first collegiate start as the Cortland women's ice hockey team defeated Lebanon Valley, 5-0, in non-conference action Saturday night.

Freshman Dany Donegan (Cicero/Syracuse Nationals) registered a goal and an assist, and senior Allyson Edwards (Buffalo/Buffalo Regals) netted a goal to help the Red Dragon offense. Junior Grace Schnorr (Camillus/Little Caesars) collected two assists, while senior Emily Rose (Chaumont/Syracuse Nationals) and sophomores Johns Ezzard (Vienna, VA/Dallas Stars Elite) and Teryn Field (Cicero/Lysander Lightning) chipped in with one assist apiece.

Steen finished with three saves for the Red Dragons (5-1-1), and goalie Jillian Moffat turned aside 60 shots for the Dutchmen (1-6-1).

The same two teams meet Sunday at 2 p.m.
