Plattsburgh moves up to No. 2 in USCHO.com Poll; Remains second in D3hockey.com ranking

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey team moved up to No. 2 in the USCHO.com Division III Women's Top-10 Poll and kept its No. 2 ranking in the D3hockey.com Women's Top-10 Poll, as announced Monday by both organizations. The Cardinals received 131 points and three first-place votes in the USCHO.com poll and 137 points and three first-place votes in the D3hockey.com poll.

The Cardinals stretched their winning streak to 13 games on Saturday, defeating Oswego State, 7-1, in the Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) Tournament semifinals. On Tuesday, Plattsburgh State downed Middlebury College, 3-1.
 
Plattsburgh State (24-2-0, 16-0-0 NEWHL) hosts SUNY Cortland in the NEWHL Tournament championship game on Saturday, March 2, at 3 p.m., looking for its second NEWHL title in as many years.
