Potsdam’s Samantha White named NEWHL Rookie of the Year

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Potsdam freshman goalkeeper Samantha White (Oceanside, CA/Anaheim Lady Ducks) was named the inaugural Northeast Women's Hockey League Rookie of the Year.

The league announced the honor on Monday, March 5, and was voted on by the head coaches of the NEWHL.

White is currently ranked third in save percentage and goals against average in the NEWHL. She boasts a 1.62 goals against average and a .943 save percentage, while her 314 total saves stands fourth in the league.

She also owns a 6-4-2 overall record, good enough for fourth in the league with a .583 winning percentage.
