OSWEGO, N.Y — Natasha Steinle (Morrison, CO/CIHA) had a goal and an assist, but it was not enough as Buffalo State dropped a 3-2 decision at Oswego today in an NEWHL contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State jumped out to an early lead exactly one minute into the game when Jessica Carter (Scottsdale, AZ/Brightmont Acad.) netted her third goal of the season with assists from Lila Toczek (Pendleton, NY/Starpoint) and Natasha Steinle (Morrison, CO/CIHA).
- Oswego responded with the next three goals of the game however, scoring one in the first, one in the second and another in the third.
- Steinle scored her team-leading ninth goal of the season to cut the deficit back to one with 8:22 remaining, but the Bengals were unable to secure the equalizer.
- Bri Gawronski (Dunkirk, NY/Mt. Mercy) made 26 saves in the loss as Oswego outshot Buffalo State 29-20 for the game.
NOTEWORTHY
- Steinle moved into a tie for 10th on the Bengals' all-time scoring list with 52 career points, including 32 goals and 20 assists in 89 games.
FOR THE FOES
- Morgan Shines, Eryn Stewart and Emily Gustafson each scored for Oswego.
- Rachael Farmer finished with 18 saves.
