BUFFALO, N.Y.— Sophomore
Natasha Steinle (Morrison, CO/CIH Academy (ON)) recorded her first goal of the early season as visiting Potsdam edged Buffalo State 2-1 today for their first NEWHL victory of the season.

NOTABLES:
- Buffalo State opened up the scoring with less than five minutes left in the first period when Steinle received a pass across goal from Rachel Lenard (Orchard Park, NY/Nardin) and finished with the one-timer. Bri Carroll (Peoria, AZ/AZ Virtual Academy) added an assist on the play.
- Potsdam regrouped in the second period and tied the game with only 24 seconds left in the period.
- The Bengals opened up the third period with seven shots on goal, but failed to retake the lead.
- Potsdam scored a late goal to claim the win.
- Goalie Justine Silva (El Monte, CA/Arroyo) recorded 19 saves in the net for the Bengals.
